Automatic Writing

Automatic Writing

  • Noun

“writing said to be produced by a spiritual, occult, or subconscious agency rather than by the conscious intention of the writer”

Also known as “Spirit Writing”

I remember the first time I saw something to do with spirit writing it was a children’s show that I was watching. I witnessed one of the characters use the method to solve a mystery and I was entirely creeped out by the concept. The thought of another energy using my hand to write what they needed to say was an uneasy thought for me. It kept me up quite a few nights.

Automatic writing is a way to channel information or prediction or prophecies or whatever. You allow outside intuition to flow through you and you become the messenger. It is a method that has been around for thousands and thousands of years but only became popular or better known in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s after the spread of the spiritualization movement.

There is no one way to do automatic writing. Some prefer to use pen and paper. Others prefer to use a computer and technically a Ouija Board is a method of automatic writing. Now there really is not all that much to say about Automatic Writing so I am going to teach you how to do it. If you are curious enough that you would like to try then follow the steps below.

  1. Determine you preferred method. Decide whether you are more comfortable using a pen and paper, computer, Ouija Board, or even tape some letters to a piano and use that. Whichever you feel more comfortable or connected with.

  2. Meditate. The technique you use is not necessarily important. You just need to meditate and make sure that you relax and clean your aura. Get into your most relaxed state.

  3. Now you start to write. Write down any questions you need answered. As you write them you need to focus on having an open connection with the energy around you. These questions should not be test questions or any random question, they should be questions that you find important. Yes/No specific questions will also not work so well. You will see why as you read further down the list.

  4. Once you have written your questions, start at the beginning and concentrate on your questions one at a time. Think about the question and the importance that it has to you.

  5. Now you write again. You write the first words that come to mind and you keep on writing. You need to keep a continuous flow going. Do not stop until you feel you need to or your continuous flow comes to its own end. Although it is not advised, you can take a break but it is important that you do not read what you have written until the end

  6. Once you have finished writing you need to set what you have written aside for at least an hour while you do literally anything else. After at least an hour you can read what was written. It is up to you to interpret it. It might seem like garbage in the beginning but the more you read it the more you might notice certain words or phrasing that stand out. These are the messages that were relayed through you during automatic writing

It seems easy enough. I cannot wait to give it a try. I might post my findings depending on how well it worked. Many authors have claimed to be using Automatic Writing and writing the works of famous authors who had died. I must admit that I do not believe this even a little bit. There have been priests who use Automatic Writing to convey messages from angels and other dead priests. It is a method that has been around for a very long time and is still used more often that you’d think. It gives me hope that I can continue blogging once I am gone but this time I will be talking facts.
